ABSTRACT
A simple supramolecular way to construct self-assembled comb-shaped complexes is presented. The halogen bonding is strong enough to drive the self-assembly of hydrocarbon polymers with perfluorocarbon mesogens. Materials with a nice comb-like structure have been obtained starting from P4VPs and halo-perfluorocarbons
