ABSTRACT
Through the description of numerous examples, we have shown how iodo- and bromo-PFCs work as effective electron accepting species when interacting with a wide variety of lone pair possessing atoms, either neutral or anionic. Halo-PFCs are therefore versatile tectons for the elaboration of supramolecular architectures by halogen bonding.
